DIY Halloween Bats

I’ve never been a huge lover of Halloween. I don’t like scary movies, I don’t like being scared and I mostly just like dressing up. However since having my girls I wanted to embrace the spookiness of Halloween and make it more fun than scary. We still can’t go in Halloween stores or apparently Home Depot right now because people like to have massive scary displays on their front lawn and it terrifies my kiddos.

This year I got the girls involved and we made BATS! We put them up on our mantle and our piano. They are really cute. Here’s how we made them:

  • We used my Cricut to cut out bats shapes from black cardstock which I purchased from Michael’s. You could however print out the attached template and cut out the bat shapes. Then trace the bat shape onto black cardstock and cut them out with scissors or an exacto knife.

  • We then added these round foam scrapbooking stickers on the bats and stuck them to the piano, wall, etc.

It turned out so cute and was such a fun rainy day craft. Below is list of links for the supplies we used.

Happy Halloween Friends!
