The Perfect Details

Simplistic design is something that will truly never go out of style. I’ve had many clients over the past few years who have opted to have chic but simplistic design for their weddings. I think it’s because you can compliment these decor elements with florals so easily and really it works with every season.

I love how Jessica brought all of these elements together for her beautiful wedding last summer in Victoria, BC. We went with timeless black and white stationary with custom modern calligraphy. Jessica used eucalyptus, thistles and summer florals in her ceremony decor and her bridal party’s florals.

She had a perfect pallet to work with at The Fort Common venue. Jessica paired blush napkins, gold flatware with simplistic garlands and acrylic hand lettered table numbers. We then decided to use hand made paper place cards and I wrote each guest’s name in modern calligraphy. And I think one of my most favourite elements of this wedding was the wine bottles. Jessica sketched the groom’s grandparents home (ceremony venue) and I digitized it and created a custom wine bottle label. It was a beautiful touch and so incredibly unique.

This couple just celebrated their one year anniversary and welcomed a sweet babe into their family. I am so thrilled for them and wish them a life full of love and snuggles.
